Canavan’s Insurance Appraisal Ltd. was open in Newfoundland by Joe Canavan in 1965. Ken Parsons became owner of Canavan’s Insurance Appraisal Ltd. in 1972.
In October 1993 Ken Parsons and Tom Earle, owner of Earle & Oakley Appraisals joined forces and formed a new company under the name of Canavan’s Earle Insurance Appraisal Ltd.
In October 2003 Jason Osmond, who was an appraiser with Canavan’s Earle Insurance Appraisal Ltd, became owner when Ken Parsons and Tom Earle retired, and the company became known as it is today as Canavan’s Auto Appraisers Ltd.
Our estimators have the skills to determine the techniques that would be adequate to repair a vehicle and to evaluate the cost of those repairs, in accordance with the standards and procedures defined by ICAR. All our appraisers are Red Seal certified Autobody repairers that have worked hands on in the field. All of our appraisers have worked in the autobody repair industry and are all certified Red Seal Journeypersons. We can scan for airbag system faults and paint film thicknesses on these repaired vehicles as well.
We can supply remote image services by trained personnel when available and required. We always push a hands/eyes on approach when assessing damages to a vehicle. However, as we live in a vast land mass area with a lower population, sometimes we have to Image claims to complete in a timely fashion.
